New beginnings.

Applying for colleges is one of the most traumatic experiences one can go through.  Well, if you make it so, and I was almost there.  Of course, when I say applying for colleges, I mean the whole deal.  Starting from the PSAT sophomore year to the real PSAT junior year to SAT preparation, college guides, college essays, transcript retrievals, recommendations, U.S. News rankings (those things are from HELL!), and next-day guaranteed delivery---  The whole deal.

But even so, it's one of the most exciting times as well.  It's a time to prepare for one of the most significant periods of your life.  I wanted to get out of California (though for years I dreamed of Stanford), and I knew I would love the opportunity to meet new people, see new places, and start new beginnings.  So yes.  This was one of the more exciting times of my life.

Of course, along with getting into college comes tons of paperwork, from essays, recommendations, scholarship materials, updates, and the like.  college hill is the archival center of all these goodies.

So enjoy your time on college hill, affectionately named after my university home in Providence.
