Poetic fortune. Street vendors, jugglers, starving artists, and poetry from every window. That's missakian street, named in honor of AP English teacher Ms. Ilona Missakian. She was an amazing teacher who organized youth ballet, supervised the National Honor Society, started the literary magazine The Inkwell, and inspired her students (including me!). She always had an encouraging word for me, and she gave helpful suggestions regarding my writing. I loved arriving to class early and talking with her; her perspective and views were always intriguing. missakian street is home to poetry from poetrybook, my personal collection of poems, and entrust, a collection of poems from friends.
